When I bought the rhythm beads, I didn't expect to get the results I got. When I started out on the Moonlight in Vt 50, I was just using them as a good luck charm (plus they looked and sounded really cool!!) Little did I know that they would be the only thing to keep me going in the last 12 grueling miles. It was very dark, most of the trail was in the woods where the footing was challenging and the terrain even more so. The constant sound of the rhythm beads was both soothing and comforting (plus they kept me awake!!)

When I returned from that ride, I put the rhythm beads into use during my dressage training sessions. Needless to say, they helped us improve enough to be able to do 3 dressage tests and do quite well!! That is saying something considering I ride a Standardbred pacer.

I bought the beads almost 6 months ago, and still use them quite frequently in my training, and they are part of my permanent endurance gear. Alot of endurance vets now refer to us as "the ones with the Mardi Gras beads''!!

Hi Sharon – finally got a picture of G wearing his favorite Rhythm Bead necklace and shoofly with brass bells on his girth! Not only does he look spiffy, but also when we hit a running walk on the trail and those bells are jingling in time to his gait, it’s just awesome to hear!

Because G had some spooking issues going out on the trail alone, I ordered these hoping that the soothing sounds of the bells would cut through the silence that the woods sometimes get. They truly worked their magic. From the first day we rode off the property with them, we were both more relaxed having the soothing sounds of the bells. We also discovered that they alert the wildlife around here that we’re coming down the trail, and have heard and seen deer run off in the opposite direction rather than crossing the trail in front of us.

I got Clover's "jewelry" last week but wanted to make sure I got some photos to send with this note....it is absolutely gorgeous! The clover pendant is perfect. As soon as I could (the day after I got it), I took it out and tried it on her. Now, Clover's not the kind of horse that likes to be fussed over or "dressed up", but as soon as I tied the beads on her, she shook her head to hear them jingle :) AND, when I put them on her a couple days later to take the pictures, she did the same thing. Of course now all the other horses want their own necklaces, too (they'll have to talk to their owner about that)!

The next day wedidn't wear the bells and we saw turkey and 5 deer, so I think the bells definitely keep wildlife away, and since they have wild hogs there, I was delighted. Thanks for your help. Duke's has the wolf pendant (howling). It is really uncanny; when Duke wears it, he takes on a different persona. In fact, the first pendant you suggested was the elk for warrior spirit, stamina & strength but I chose the wolf instead. When he wears his necklace, he becomes very bold & energized - very uncanny & very funny. He will be 4 in May and really thinks these are a lot of fun!

I ordered the patriotic end of the trail necklace from you last year. At that time I did not have a horse, and the owner of the horse I rode would not permit me to use my necklace. My husband made it possible for me to have my very own filly this past March at just 14 months old.

I waited a while before trying her necklace, but the first time I introduced it this past summer, she loved it. She would look around when she walked and heard the jingle. I have graduated to having her wear it during ground schooling class, and have taken Christmas pictures with her wearing her shiny necklace with my husband. Other owners around the ranch would hear the jingle when I would pass by, the got such a kick out of a horse wearing a necklace they would want to see it up close. They said my filly is such a girlie girl. They were so amazed that my filly is just so relaxed with it on. I plan to order other colors soon to match her saddle and blanket. I forgot to introduce you to my filly, I named her Dakota (Poco Docs Fast Cash) she is now 24 months young, she is a breeding stock paint, dam palomino, and sire a black/white overo. She is a registered quarter horse in the breeding stock paint registry.

I love your stories, and have the same ideas of natural horsemanship as you. Thank you for your inspiration. I plan to do local western pleasure shows the first few years along with trail riding, then some light barrels (for fun) when she is mature.

3/2/03: Marcie and Boo LOVED their necklaces!! I gave her copies of all the information you sent, so that she can read for herself how it may really help her with rythym. Of course I talked about it, too, as well as told her Boo's necklace was now on the website - am hoping she got to 'graze' the site and read all the testimonials. Here is a bonus-neat-fact: Marcie's 18 y.o. daughter lost her black mare, Missy, last spring from a really horrid colic. In memory of Missy, she had a small tattoo done on her ankle...it is a heart with wings! Marcie mentioned it immediately when I pointed out Boo's pendant. How bizarre is that?! You certainly have a talent for choosing the right totems!

Atlas did the same thing you talked about Zephyr doing! He is shedding like crazy, so after I got LayerOne tamed, I put the necklace on him and he didn't bat an eyelash. Cannot wait to ride with it! This afternoon I'm 'wearing' Zeus' necklace to the barn (he did try on Atty's last night and was fine with it).

I noticed on your Flyer that you said "Challenge My Creativity" I believe you were referring to the Rythym Bead Necklaces, but I just had a thought run thru my head as we were looking at our items. If I was a female, I could get you to make me a matching necklace or some kind of pretty matching "hair Doodle" to wear in my hair when I ride. But hey, I'm a guy and I don't think folks would find me to be a suitable model for such things. Have you ever thought about or had requests from a feller like me who might want a matching accessory to wear while riding? If nothing else, a couple of those feathers to stick in a hatband on a cowboy hat maybe? Oh well, it's just a thought.

Sharon is extremely artistic and puts so much thought into the design of each necklace that they are truly works of art. When she gave me a necklace for my appaloosa, Nettie, as a birthday present, I absolutely loved it. What a great idea! Nettie loves to wear her necklace all the time on trail rides. This is a very special mare, whose Mom knew she would have to cross the rainbow bridge before winter. As a way to show Eyesie how much she was loved, Sue ordered a very special necklace in Red and Turquoise. It had two pendants: a heart and a cross. This photo was taken on the day that she was put down. The other horse is Dude, her pasture mate and good friend. His photo is below.

I'm so excited, I got the necklace and the choker! My mare really loved it! I swear, she was showing it off when I let her out in the round pen today. I was so amazed and pleased! My friend (who I bought the mare from) was shocked. She expected her to be freaked out by it. The horse was so mellow, and she would lower her head and shake it every now and again when she was trotting. I showed it to her before I put it on her and when I took it off, and she was so interested in it. It was so fun! Just thought I'd share.

Thank you again so much. Now two of my friends want them too, so I'm giving them your info. I'll keep telling everybody who asks. (Everybody who sees her comments on how cool, beautiful, neat, etc they are.) I really appreciate it!
