Pendant Selection Case Study - Shiloh and Ginger
At
my request, Traci G. sent this information about her horses' personalities
and backgrounds:
Shiloh is
a mustang, he is almost white ( with whiter spots) he is a big baby
but at times is all attitude. He was abused and literally broke his
stall door down at the last place he was at as he was locked in with
no light and no food for a LONG time. He is a wind sucker/cribber and
wears a collar all the time. He freaks if I lock him in so we have him
in a run in. He is origanlly from Arizona and although I have had him
for four years he still gets real antsy if he gets fed five minutes
later than he thinks he should! He has a problem with whoa....and just
when I am ready to bail....he stops. He is really independent and strong.
I would think that turqouise beads with maybe black and silver would
fit him to a tee.
I suggested either a pewter
Eagle Pendant, to symbolize his need for open spaces, or an imitation
hematite Turtle Pendant, to symbolize that she wants him to SLOW DOWN!
She chose the Turtle.
Ginger is my
latest acquisition and she too was abused. She was so skinny and covered
with manure when I first got her that I wasnt even sure of her color
( imagine what my hubby thought when he got aload of her) She was a
little stand offish at first but now she nickers at me when she sees
me and sometimes she has this look on her face that breaks my heart.
I know at one time she must of been in someones heart and cant imagine
how she ended up in the condition she was in, all I know is she went
through the auction and was bought by people who treated her really
bad. But through it all she never has lost her dignity....she is a lady
through and through she has the best manners on the ground, and even
though she was hungry she would not grab food out of my hand or run
me over to get to her grain. I have been really sick and currently Shiloh
is to much for me to handle, so she is going to be my main ride this
spring and I have had some bad experiences with horses and at times
lose my nerve to ride, so I am putting a lot of faith in her that maybe
together we can get over some of the past. That probably sounds corny
lol but that is how I feel and I can tell that she is putting her trust
in me.
I suggested: "In my
selection of glass beads, I've got this wonderful medium mellow amberish
yellow color. I think I'd like to use a dark emerald green for the primary
color, and the amber/yellow for secondary, with something neutral like
clear or white as the third color. I've got a beautiful orange/yellow
Sun Pendant, or you could choose a heart of some kind to symbolize your
bond with (and trust in) her." She chose the Sun.
Traci came
down to meet Zephyr and pick up her necklaces in person, plus a third
necklace she ordered for a friend. She said to tell you all that she
loved them, and will send pictures as soon as she gets a chance.
